Subsequent to earning Masters degrees from the Universiteit Utrecht (The Netherlands) and Universite de Bordeaux (France), including a year at the University of Hull (UK), he has served in international business development executive roles. They include his appointment by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell, subsequent reappointment by Governor Corbett and Governor Wolf as Deputy Secretary for
International Business Development for the State. He grew the department into the largest and most effective export assistance and foreign direct investment development program in the U.S. It included 60 countries, with a staff of 40 and 27 international contractors. ROI was increased from 1:20 to over 1:100 in five years. Recent positions include President and
CEO/Stevens & Lee/Griffin International business consulting practice. Currently he serves as Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of the Netherlands and U.S. Trade Representative for the
Kutch Region, in the State of Gujarat in Western India. He also owns his own international consulting and importing business, Muskens Global USA, LLC.
